The uses of Google
Something new i learned about google was that you can use a ~, + or related: and that will help to bring up more sources to use. Or even if you put .gov and than whatever you are searching more it help help bring up sources closer to what information you are looking for. This helps to change my attitude while doing research on Google because those little tips will help narrow down the topics and will bring up source on particular subjects. It is Google's way of limiting sources. Knowing this information now I feel as if I can do more research on Google that will help to bring up better sources. I never knew you could use symbols and it would help bring up sources for what you are looking for on a particular topic. Also in using Google there is a tab that says more and it gives you many different options for using Google other than doing a basic search on a topic

With the Google Tricks that you have up your sleeve, Beth, you will be able to find scholarly journal articles, newspaper articles, government documents, EBooks, and blogs all through Google!
ReplyDeleteAs long as you apply the evaluation criteria to each resource that you consider, you will be in good shape.
